There’s been some great performances in these opening games. Luka Doncic had 42 points, 9 assists, and 7 rebounds. But he also had 11 turnovers so there’s something to work on. Donovan Mitchell scored 57 points, had 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in the overtime loss. Let’s hope we see some equally great action in the Game 2 matchups.

Gerald McCoy has been released by the Cowboys, after suffering a season ending quad tear. Tough break as he’s a good D-lineman and you could always use those. Really tough break for McCoy, who’s struggled with leg injuries in his career and at 32 years old, has to rehab once again.

Chris Hogan has signed with the New York Jets. He’s now been with the Buffalo Bills, New England Patriots, and was on the Miami Dolphins practice squad before his NFL debut so he’s now made the whole trip around the AFC East. Frank Gore would equal that if he were to sign with the New England Patriots before he retires.
