-The Denver Nuggets completed the comeback from being down 3-1 in their series against the Utah Jazz to win Game 7 last night, 80-78. Nikola Jokic led the way with 30 points and 14 rebounds. Rudy Gobert had 19 points and 18 rebounds while Donovan Mitchell had 22 points and 9 rebounds for the Jazz. The Nuggets almost lost the game as Mitchell turned the ball over with seconds to go and Murray pushed a fast break instead of holding the ball but they missed a layup. Utah got the rebound but their 3 point attempt to win the game rimmed out. Denver now faces the Los Angeles Clippers starting Thursday.
-The Boston Celtics beat the Toronto Raptors 102-99 behind Jayson Tatum’s 34 points to take a 2-0 series lead. Marcus Smart had 16 points in the 4th quarter to help get the win.
-We have another Game 7 tonight as the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder play at 9PM EST, but first we have Game 2 of the Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks series at 6:30PM EST, which Miami leads 1-0. I would expect another low scoring affair in the Rockets-Thunder game and the Bucks need to rebound after seeing Jimmy Butler go off for 40 points in that Game 1 loss to the Heat. They got to slow Butler down and try to make the rest of the team beat them.
-Some quick NFL news- Alvin Kamara and the Saints are now working towards an extension for him. There had been talk he was unhappy and the Saints were open to trading him but luckily, everyone settled down and everything seems okay for now. The Saints are in win-now mode, they have the team to win it all, they just need to finish in the playoffs. It would be crazy to trade Kamara.
