–NVIDIA has announced their new RTX 30 Series. The relevant stuff is that these cards use GDDR6X VRAM, have HDMI 2.1, and support the AV1 codec. The RTX 3080 releases September 17th for $699, the RTX 3090 release September 24th for $1499, and the RTX 3070 releases in October for $499. This is exciting news for PC gamers.
Also, here’s a good recap I found on the PS5 reddit from user mprzyszlak that explains things pretty well.
Well, that’s about it for today. This NVIDIA news is huge, though. Even if you’re not interested in buying a RTX 30 yourself, it’s still exciting to see the industry pushing itself forward. This is a big leap. Also, the RTX 20’s will be a little cheaper, at least eventually. I would expect shortages for the 30’s for a bit.
