-The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets last night 114-108 behind 34 points from Anthony Davis, 26 points and 9 rebounds and 8 assists from LeBron James, and 12 points and 11 rebounds from Dwight Howard. The Nuggets were led by Jamal Murray with 32 points and 8 assists. Once again, Denver finds itself down 3-1 in a series. I don’t know if they’ll be able to battle back from this one, though. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are playing so well that it’s going to be hard to stop them both. If anybody can do it, Denver can, but it’s going to take a monumental effort and they need everyone to step up. They’ve had plenty of guys step up but they’re going to need even more because you know the Lakers are going to be energized to be so close to the NBA Finals.
-The Miami Dolphins beat the Jacksonville Jaguars 31-13 last night. Ryan Fitzpatrick threw 2 touchdowns and ran for another to lead Miami. James Robinson ran for 2 touchdowns and had 129 total yards to lead the Jags. Gardner Minshew threw for 275 yards but no touchdowns and 1 interception. Both teams are 1-2 and not likely to make the playoffs but they’re both good enough to jump up and bite a contending team and cost them a playoff berth so you have to be careful.
