-When the Atlanta Falcons went up 8 after Todd Gurley scored a touchdown but their kicker missed the extra point to keep it a 1 score game with 11 minutes left in the 4th quarter, Falcons fans everywhere could likely feel their collective butts tighten up. “Here we go again.” I’m sure they all said. They traded drives ending in punts but the Panthers got the ball back on their own 5-yard line with 2:58 seconds left. Atlanta even got them to a 3rd and 18, only to give up a 42 yard bomb to D.J. Moore. The Panthers had the ball at the Atlanta 24-yard line. The Falcons fought their way to a lead, only to choke it away in excruciating fashion. Except, not this time. Blidi Wreh-Wilson intercepted Teddy Bridgewater and sealed the deal, the Falcons winning 25-17. Atlanta has won 2 of their last 3 games to get to 2-6 while Carolina falls to 3-5.
-Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence has tested positive for Covid-19 and will miss the game against Boston College Saturday.
