The NFL trade deadline came and went yesterday and…a few things happened.
The New England Patriots traded for WR Isiah Ford from the Miami Dolphins for a 2022 7th round pick. The Dolphins then traded for RB DeAndre Washington and a 2021 7th round pick from the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2021 6th round pick.
The day before, the New Orleans Saints traded for LB Kwon Alexander from the San Francisco 49ers for a conditional 5th round pick and LB Kiko Alonzo. And the Tennessee Titans traded for CB Desmond King from the Los Angeles Chargers for a 6th round pick.
Nothing mind-blowing but not much was expected this year, as in most years. There were no Will Fuller (Texans wanted too much), Stephon Gilmore (Patriots wanted too much), or any other big-name trades. CB Johnathan Joseph and LB Vic Beasley got released by the Titans. Those are big names I guess. Joseph was really good but I think age caught up to him. And I don’t know why Beasley fizzled in Tennessee.
