The Green Bay Packers beat the Los Angeles Rams yesterday 32-18 to advance to the NFC Conference Championship game, where they’ll host the winner of today’s New Orleans vs. Tampa Bay game. Aaron Rodgers was his usual brilliant self, throwing for 296 yards and 2 touchdowns. Aaron Jones ran for 99 yards and a score and the defense sacked Jared Goff 4 times. Cam Akers had 90 rushing yards and a touchdown for the Rams but it wasn’t enough.
The other game saw the Buffalo Bills beat the Baltimore Ravens 17-3 to advance, where they’ll either travel to Kansas City or host Cleveland, depending on the outcome of today’s Chiefs vs. Browns game. It was a low-scoring game, with the Ravens actually outgaining the Bills 340 yards to 220 yards. Taron Johnson intercepted Lamar Jackson in the end zone and ran 101 yards for the touchdown. Both Justin Tucker and Tyler Bass went 1 for 3 kicking field goals, the wind proved a big factor.
In terms of the QBs, it’s going to be experience veteran vs. experienced veteran in the NFC and youthful star vs. youthful star in the AFC to determine the teams in this year’s Super Bowl. This is going to be awesome, as are today’s games, which have the same types of matchups at quarterback.
